Ηοw To Dress Well
Description
How To Dress Well (US)

Combining a gorgeous falsetto with fractured R&B-influenced beats, an instinctive ear for subtly devastating melody and elements of noise, sound collage and avant-garde composition, How To Dress Well is coming for a unique show in Athens.

How To Dress Well is the stage name of American singer songwriter Tom Krell. Tom Krell’s career began in 2009 when he moved from Brooklyn to Berlin and his songs started to emerge online through a string of free digital EPs posted in anonymity on his blog. His signature is his falsetto, which knows no bounds. He also blends a mixture of live guitars and pianos with vast synthesized sound. Together with the music he adds intriguing conceptual ideas, that make you want to delve deeper into the mystery of what How to Dress Well is all about.

Tom Krell, has released four albums of hushed and sensual, yet sorrowful electronic soul/abstract R&B with an autobiographical bent.

The Anteroom is his fifth studio album which is set to be released on October 19, 2018 on Domino. The Anteroom was written when Krell relocated to Los Angeles after the United States 2016 election, and was created as a 'testament' to a two-year period in his life where he felt slipping out of the world and into a cosmic loneliness in which he would eventually be dissolved. With the album, he sought to explore the experimental sounds of his early work, as well as influences from the works of Coil, Prurient, Gas and Grouper. The record also features poetry contributions from Li-Young Lee and Ocean Vuong.
