Release Athens 2023 welcomes Disturbed on Monday, June 26, at Plateia Nerou! The band from Chicago that has dominated hard rock for more than 20 years, returns to Athens for a special night filled with their greatest songs. Alongside them, Bullet For My Valentine, the leading British metal band of the 21st century and the rapidly rising duet of Nova Twins. Opening act: O.Y.D.
Since their formation in the late 90s, Disturbed have sold more than 17 million records and reached nearly 8 billion streams. At the same time, they hold a rare record with five consecutive album releases debuting at the top of the US charts, something only them and Metallica have accomplished.
The quartet, which has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award, started their career with the influential and five times platinum record, "The Sickness", and continued their career with an enviable series of releases that placed them, rightfully, at the forefront of the hard rock/heavy metal scene.
Last November, after four years of silence, they returned with their eighth album, entitled "Divisive", which finds the band returning to their roots and releasing a great record that, according to Metal Hammer, "confirms their place on the throne of modern metal". The singles "Hey You" and "Unstoppable" delighted their diehard fans and earned their place on the same list that includes their greatest songs that have already left their mark in the history of metal.
David Draiman (vocals), Dan Donegan (guitar), Mike Wengren (drums), John Moyer (bass), inseparable from the very first moment, are preparing for another big world tour, which will bring them to Athens. After their unforgettable performance at Release Athens 2019, Disturbed's "Down with the Sickness", "Are You Ready", "Stricken", "The Sound of Silence", "Ten Thousand Fists", "Vengeful One", "Indestructible" and "Inside The Fire" will once again rock Plateia Nerou.

Since Bullet For My Valentine formed in 1998, the Welsh metallers have become one of the biggest bands in metal, selling millions of albums worldwide and scoring three gold albums, turning them into the leading British metal band of the 21st century.
With their explosive debut, "The Poison" (2005), the quartet showed their songwriting chops from the get-go, getting critical acclaim and commercial success. Their impressive catalogue, with releases like "Scream Aim Fire" (2008), "Fever" (2010), as well as their most recent self-titled album, established Bullet For My Valentine as a band unafraid to try new things while sweeping the charts with three top 10 releases and over 1 billion streams.
None of this would have happened if, above all, they weren’t an impressive live band. That's why from the very beginning of their career they shared the stage with legends like Metallica and Iron Maiden, and headlined tours on the biggest metal arenas and beyond. On Monday, June 26, at Plateia Nerou, we will have the chance to experience live songs like "Tears Don't Fall", "Scream Aim Fire", "4 Words (to Choke Upon), "You Want a Battle? (Here's a War)" and watch a great group in the biggest show they have ever given in Greece.

Nova Twins is a British duo formed in 2014 by two childhood friends: Amy Love (vocals, guitar) and Georgia South (bass). They describe their music as urban punk, although the truth is that it's hard to classify their sound. In their albums, EPs and singles, you find a mixture of punk, pop, rock and grime, something that contributed so today they are considered one of the most dynamic acts in British music. Last year's sophomore album, "Supernova", was one of the year's top releases and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and the duo was nominated for two Brit Awards in the categories "Best British Group" and "Best Rock/Alternative Act".
After performing live alongside important artists from every genre (Wolf Alice, Little Simz, Enter Shikari and Prophets of Rage, among many others), Nova Twins are coming to Release Athens 2023 on Monday June 26, to confirm their reputation as the next big thing in the British independent music scene.
