Andrew Lloyd Webber’s romantic and captivating play re-tells the tender love story between Christine and the mysterious “Phantom of the Opera”. THE PLOT
The play takes place in the Paris opera house in the mid – 19thcentury and we watch the young singer Christine gaining one opportunity after another in an opera house haunted by the presence of a mysterious man who covers his face with a mask and hides in the darkness. The “Phantom” is an ingenious musician and singer, who manipulates Christine and sets his own terms so as to ensure her success and when he wins her sympathy, we come face to face with an inevitable betrayal which will lead both of them to a near death experience.
