“Algorithm”
CONCEIVED & DIRECTED BY: Alexandra Kazazou & Eleana Georgouli
VENUE: Foyer of the Society for Macedonian Studies
OPENING: 11 March 2023
A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PLAY
“Algorithm” is a journey into the anatomy of the major disasters and civil wars which humanity has experienced over the last century. The production invites the viewer to reflect on the workings of memory and forgetting through wanderings that prove unexpectedly surreal.
Guided by two women who find themselves trapped in an abandoned toy town after a major disaster, we embark on a descend into the unconscious and the collective trauma of War in an unexpectedly tender yet humorous examination of how the communicating vessels of memory and forgetting operate.
